RESPACK recently carried out an educational school outreach program at SK Convent 1, Butterworth, aimed at equipping upper primary school girls with essential knowledge about menstrual hygiene and personal well-being. Conducted in a safe and encouraging environment, the session supported students in understanding the physical changes associated with puberty, recognising menstruation as a natural life process, and building confidence in managing their daily hygiene routines.
One of the highlights of the program was a guided demonstration by the Activ team, where students were taught the proper way to use Activ sanitary pads. Participants were introduced to Activ Ultra Thin Pads and their key features, including high absorbency, comfortable wear, and a slim, discreet design suitable for school activities. The demonstration also covered correct application, removal, and responsible disposal practices.
To enhance learning beyond the session, each participant received a sample pack to take home, allowing them to further familiarise themselves with menstrual care products and reinforce what they had learned. The program also encouraged open dialogue, allowing students to ask questions, clarify misconceptions, and develop healthy and positive menstrual hygiene habits.
